  • Acetaminophen: If NSAIDs are not suitable for you, acetaminophen (paracetamol) can be an alternative for pain relief, though it won’t reduce inflammation.

4. Gentle Movement

  • Avoid bed rest: While it’s important to rest initially, prolonged bed rest can worsen back pain. After the first day or two, try gentle movements to prevent stiffness.
  • Stretching: Gentle stretching can help maintain flexibility and prevent muscle tightness. Avoid any movements that cause pain.

5. Stay Hydrated

  • Drink water: Proper hydration can help maintain the health of spinal discs and prevent muscle spasms.
