The Indian Society for the Study of Pain has developed the MIPSI (Minimally Invasive Pain and Spine Interventions) coding system with the aim of establishing consistent terminology for interventional pain procedures and defining the scope of interventional pain practice.
The MIPSI coding system assigns codes to interventional procedures that have been approved based on established interventional guidelines and evidence-based practices. This system ensures uniformity and clarity in the coding and documentation of interventional pain interventions.
